Selling Food to Ontario training workshop

The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), York Region and the Town of Georgina are collaborating to bring you this event.

This webinar will help you create new opportunities for your food business or farm by learning how to expand into new markets such as farmers’ markets, food service, retailers and other wholesale buyers.

Participants will learn about:

  • market channel opportunities (who buyers are, how they purchase food and what they expect)
  • basics of food safety and regulations
  • retail market readiness
  • food labelling
  • mega trends in the food industry – risks and opportunities
  • hear first-hand from Sobey’s on their local procurement program
