Winston’s Men’s Wear, RRRF client

Community Futures Huron, a federally funded non-profit organization, is here to support small businesses in Huron County.

During during COVID-19, CFHuron is helping local businesses by providing access to the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund, a federally funded business assistance loan program.

The Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF) 2.0 is a new program offered through FedDev Ontario and Community Futures Ontario to provide financial assistance to small and medium-sized businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and who are unable to access the Government of Canada’s existing relief measures.

The RRRF financing is to support small enterprises including social enterprises that are unable to access federal and provincial relief funding programs, or unable to obtain a loan/credit from traditional financial institutions, and that are struggling with working capital needs.

Winston’s Men’s Wear

Bill Brittain, owner of Winston’s Men’s Wear shares his experience of applying for RRRF assistance. Videographer: Tara Corran.

Bill Brittain, owner of Winston’s Men’s Wear on the square in Goderich, came to Community Futures Huron looking for assistance in order to better respond to the challenges his business is facing during the COVID-19 pandemic. CFHuron was very pleased to be able to help Bill with funding and guidance to help his business pivot and prepare for the future.

We participated in the Community Futures Huron RRRF program. The application process was very simple from start to finish… If you have not had any success with current federal and provincial programs, give them a call the application process was super simple and the people are great to deal with. I highly recommend it!”
